We all know him now as Terry Jeffords from the iconic TV show, Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Well, there’s plenty more to the hilarious and talented actor. In fact, did you know he was once a pro football player? Or that he wrote a book?
He Was A NFL Player
This might not come as the biggest surprise, but Terry was once part of the NFL. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 1991. He played with the Rams for six games. After that, he was moved to the San Diego Chargers. There, he played for a total of ten games. He went through another two teams, Washington Redskins (16 games) and the Philadelphia Eagles. In 1997, Terry retired from the NFL.
He’s An Actor
From Old Spice commercials to movies like Bridesmaids, The Expendables, and White Chicks to shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Crews has made a name for himself as an actor. It’s hard to remember a time when he wasn’t a hilarious actor.
He’s A TV Show Host
Recently, Crews has started a new gig as the host for America’s Got Talent. Of course, he’s doing a fantastic job.
He’s A Published Author
In 2014, Crews published a memoir named Manhood: How to Be a Better Man-Or Just Live With One. He speaks about his childhood growing up in a strict Christian family with an alcoholic father and how he made his dream career come true.
He’s A Talented Artist
After high school, Terry got an Arts Excellence scholarship thanks to his natural artistic talent! In fact, his first real job was as a courtroom sketch artist in his home town. While he was in the NFL, he would draw his fellow NFL players to make more money. In 2017, he was commissioned by the magazine AdAge to draw the cover for its 50th issue.
